Dear Families,
Welcome back to school! I hope you and your families had a wonderful, healthy and restful summer. I am thrilled to welcome our students back to school. It has been a busy summer for those who attended the Summer Rising program. I hope you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful school year!
Our incredible staff of educators have been in school throughout the summer planning and preparing for the start of the new school year. The teachers have been planning using our new reading curriculum. As we embark our journey through the new HMH reading curriculum we will be having parent workshops with parents to support you as well.
We are excited to welcome our new staff members to the PS 377 family. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious with the start of the new school year and we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social emotional learning. We are lucky to have the support of our guidance team Ms. Flanigan and Mrs. Henry who will also be at school to work with the children.
PS 377 is a such a special place to learn, grow and lead. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for each and every student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and resilient. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted and safe. We will continue our Leader in Me program to empower all students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers and compassionate leaders. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love of learning.
